Christine Brinck

Dr. Christine Brinck is journalist and author of several books. She also teached at Hamburg Media School.

She studied Literature and received her doctor‘s degree from the University of Hamburg in 1976, when she wrote her thesis in Comparative Educational Science about the englisch Open University.

Afterwords, she did a number of research about various aspects of American universities under the supervision of Prof. David Riesman at Harvard University.

She worked as a member of the working group “Studium neben dem Beruf“ (Studying aside of Working) at the Federal Ministry of Education and Science (BMBW) and as a consultant in the field of Comparative Higher Education Studies.

As a journalist, she worked for NDR, Die ZEIT, ZEIT-Magazin, FAZ-Magazin, Süddeutsche Zeitung and Focus.

2007 she authored a book about the nationalization of education with the title “Mütterkriege – Werden unsere Kinder verstaatlicht?“.
