The „Orava Association“ is a non-profit, non-government organisation (NGO), representing the interests of children, teachers, parents and school-professional staff in general. Founded in 1991 it has received initial and ongoing support from specialists from the University of Northern Iowa.

The Slovakian Library Assoziation is a voluntary independent association working towards public interests. Its founding members are the Slovak National Library SNK, the Slovak Technical Library, the Slovak Centre of Scientific and Technical Information and the University Library in Bratislava.
